Over 50 NYPD officers have tested positive for the coronavirus.
If DOT doesn’t wake up and stop backing up trucks at weigh stations etc. for hours, then doing truck inspections requiring lengthy paperwork exchanges, every truck driver in America as well as every police officer and DOT officer is going to be infected, I hope they wake up soon. The load and unload sites my drivers go to have very strict do not get out of your truck and interact with anyone instructions. Most are going to electronic invoicing so there isn’t even any paperwork exchange unless absolutely necessary. Why are DOT officers in every state not doing their part? I understand the importance of keeping unsafe trucks off the highway. I’m not trying to be a jerk. I think it’s a legitimate question.
